Kanye West My Beautiful Twisted Fantasy

Kanye West's new album is on the way! I cannot wait, and I know you cannot either.  I have compiled this page to update you on everything Kanye West as we countdown for the album.

As of today the album is slated to come out November 22nd 2010 in the USA and worldwide.  It will be sold on itunes, cd format, and digitally.  You should circle that date if you are into Kanye's music.

I expect this album to sound more like his last album "Graduation" than anything else he has made.  That means it will have a lot of synth heavy, pop like beats, with ironic, witty, boastful lines that we have come to expect 'Ye to rap.

The first Single off "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" was a song called 'Power'. Kanye rapped over a drum heavy beat with a constant chant in the background.  His lyrics, as usual were boastful and demanded respect:

"At the end of the day got d-mnit Im killing this 'ish

Yall know d-mn well yall feeling this ish"

Just one bar Kanye raps amongs others that demand respect from the hip hop community.  Ye raps as if he is talking down to the listener, as if he was a king demanding respect.

Kanye's second single featured the newest member of the G.O.O.D. music family, Pusha T from the Clipse.  It was called runaway and he debuted it at the 2010 VMA awards.  Kanye promoted the song as a apology to Taylor Swift.

In the lyrics Kanye sang "just runaway from me baby" in one of his more vulnerable moments.  He made himself out as an oppressor over a young woman in the lyrics of the song.

Pusha T's verse rapped about Versache sofa's and fine living in a direct contrast to Kanye.  Pusha T basically told the imaginary woman to stay and enjoy the life he was providing.

At the VMA's Kanye performed the song with a Casio beat maker and played the beat live for the crowd.  It debuted to a mixed reaction.
